Her father’s name is Colonel Paul James Tate and her mother’s name is Doris Gwendolyn. Her father was an officer in the United States Army. She has got 2 younger sisters named Patricia Tate and Debra Tate. She also emerge in ‘Valley of the Dolls’ in 1967 where she played a significant role which was directed by Mark Robson, the film was based on a 1996 novel of the same name.

This film doesn’t do well commercially and received mostly negative reviews. After that, flop movie she emerged in the 1969 comedy film ‘The Thirteen Chairs’, in which she played a lead role. This is her last movie in her short life after that she murdered before its release.
Additionally, she won the title of ‘Miss Richland’ in Washington in 1959 at the early age of sixteen. The 1967 film ‘Valley of the Dolls’ earned her a nomination for the ‘Golden Globe Awards for the “New Star of the Year – Actress.”
Sharon Tate firstly met the French actor Philippe Forquet and they start dating. Behind that, they got engaged but because of frequent quarrels, they broke up. Later, she got married to Roman Polanski on 20 January 1968. She want to do a traditional marriage, Roman Polanski expected her not to question his promiscuous behavior. But due to their differing views, the couple argued regularly. She becomes pregnant by the end of 1968. Before she give birth she was murdered. A book on she was released by Debra Tate in the year 2014.

In 1969 9th August, the 26 years old Sharon Tate was brutally murdered in her home along with their three houseguests by a group of people who were later revealed to be part of the ‘Manson family’ a murderous cult driven by the apocalyptic fantasies of its deranged leader, Charles Manson.
