Jeff Jampol started his career after he completed his graduation he set up his Artist Management Agency. He established his own agency named Artist Management Agency which mainly focuses on the protection of artists’ legacy where he also manages various upcoming and made music artists.

He also produces some movies and documentaries in his career. Some of the movies and documentaries he has produced are American Masters in 1985, The Doors: R-Evolution in 2014, Janis: Little Girl Blue in 2015, and Sympathy for the devil: The Underground.

He also co-produced the musical One Night for Janis Joplin as well as When You’re Strange, the 2009 music documentary film about the American rock band The Doors. He also worked with many popular record labels like Atlantic, Columbia, and WEA  Records.

In 2019, he worked on a theatrical documentary for Janis Joplin. He got the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of California in 1997 and still working in it.

In 2009 he won the best music film for his work in the documentary The Doors: when you’re strange. And in 2011, he has nominated for 4 awards i.e. 2 Grammys and 2 Emmys of which he won one of them.

In 1989 he admit to a hospital due to his heroin addiction. He almost had his leg cut off. Due to the drug injection, the nerves in his leg saw severe damage. The anesthesiologist trading with his case suggested he crash for eight to ten days before the operation instead of amputating his leg right away.

There is a  growth of new tissues in his leg, so he went with reconstructive surgery to save his leg.  He got back to the industry and continued his work after four years.
